Born near Dijon in 1993, Jérôme Bourgeot showed a keen interest in drawing and art from an early age.
He pursued this passion by studying applied arts and ceramics at Longchamp, before perfecting his skills at the Beaux-Arts in Nancy. He then turned to interior architecture, broadening his artistic skills.
His admiration for iconic artists such as Matisse and Fazzino has played a decisive role in his career. These art figures guided his discovery and love of paper art, which he explores in all its richness and complexity.
In recent years, he has stepped up his presence on the art scene with a growing number of exhibitions and art fairs. This increased visibility has enabled his works to join numerous private collections, both nationally and internationally, testifying to the growing appreciation and recognition of his experience in paper art.
Exploring the art of paper, Jérôme Bourgeot’s works celebrate texture and form. Each cut is a meditation on the limits of the material, while each collage is a dialogue between space and volume. Jérôme Bourgeot’s works are colorful and spectacular, always highly architectural.
His relief creations are born of a fascination with contrasts: light and shadow, empty and full, simplicity and complexity. Jérôme Bourgeot draws inspiration from nature, architecture and organic motifs to transform flat paper into textured landscapes that invite contemplation.
Cutting and collage are not mere techniques, but languages through which the artist communicates emotions and stories. Each piece is an invitation to look beyond the surface and discover the nuances hidden in the depths of paper.
