Born in 1979, JBC developed an early taste and aptitude for shapes and colors.
In the 2000s, his extensive studies led him to travel extensively in South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana), and he decided to train as a graphic designer in 2008.
Since 2009, his artistic approach has led him to the street, initially to collage, before sliding towards his preferred artistic practice, painting on the wall.
JBC’s universe is a symbolic tangle combining Latin American Baroque art, socialist realism, the cult of icons and paganism in all its forms.
His themes resonate with his stained-glass graphic style, magnifying people, even in the most absurd or trivial situations.
His media are varied: walls, street furniture, canvases, objects of all kinds and other installations.
He has been based in the Paris region for some twenty years, and specifically in Montreuil for the past 9.
He works on both public and private commissions.
He has a studio at the Fabrique Made in Bagnolet and joined the Collectif Douze Douze in 2017.
