Nasty’s story began in 1988. He distinguished himself by covering subway trains with colorful frescoes until the mid-90s. He was then approached by the art world, which offered him the chance to get off the streets and express himself in a different way, so he took over the enamelled plates in the metro and used them as canvases. They became his trademark. Subsequently, other original media would renew his enthusiasm with institutions and the public alike. Nasty’s determination to defend the origins of graffiti and his work, which focuses on writing in all its forms, make him an authentic and unexpected artist.
