Enivo

Marcus Vinícius, known as Enivo, was born in 1986 in the Grajaú district of São Paulo. At the age of 12, he discovered spray cans and began making graffiti on the city's streets. Over the years, he has created more than 20,000 interventions that are an integral part of urban life and have been spotted not only on the streets of São Paulo, but all over the world.
Enivo's most recent works blend Afrofuturist tendencies, combining performative impulses with his Afro-Brazilian origins, and exalt the contributions of indigenous peoples to Brazilian culture. To these aspects, the artist also adds everyday elements and symbols from a globalized, digitally-savvy society.
Enivo is a cultural activist committed to social transformation. Attracted by São Paulo's dynamic scene and eager to learn, Enivo studied fine arts at the Faculdade Paulista de Artes. After graduating in 2006, he continued graffiti and worked as a teacher, bringing art to young people in marginalized neighborhoods and shantytowns. Since 2004, he has been running workshops on graffiti, street art and artistic career guidance. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Enivo has taken part in 40 exhibitions in Brazil and around the world.
As curator and founder of Galeria A7MA, located in Vila Madalena, he plays an important role in the professionalization of artists wishing to enter the art market. For the past 12 years, he has been training and integrating young black and marginalized artists into the art market, and has already organized more than 70 exhibitions.
