We’re delighted to present Matt Dosa for the first time at the gallery, alongside metal sculptures by Antonine de Saint Pierre.
Matt Dosa’s career began with graffiti as a teenager. Over time, his graffiti style evolved from traditional approaches to lettering and cartoon characters to more abstract styles. His graffiti experience led him to think about how small abstract paintings could be transposed into murals. Today, he creates huge abstract works outdoors, as well as smaller paintings in his studio.
Antonine de Saint Pierre makes no secret of her admiration for the work of the artists of the 50s and 60s, who inspire her in her work in large-scale steel. The artist produces elegant work that reinterprets a vision of femininity and assumes her own style of metal-cut sculpture, gradually detaching herself from the artists who influenced her early work. She sculpts small and medium-sized pieces for interiors and larger pieces for exteriors.
