Frédérique Morrel is a French artist and designer. Frédérique Morrel’s working philosophy is based on the recovery of old tapestries, dead lace or traditional canvas to create furniture and various domestic accessories, to which she gives a surprisingly modern touch.
A mother of three, Frédérique Morrel draws inspiration from her family life to bring a poetic, emotional and functional dimension to her creations.
The offbeat universe of this applied arts teacher (at the École Supérieure des Arts appliqués Duperré) lies at the crossroads of design, decoration and art. Her work has been the subject of several exhibitions, notably at the Parc des expositions Paris-Villepinte (2008), where “My Dear”, a deer sculpture covered in vintage tapestries, was a huge success. He is also the creator of the “TPCOU” sofa.
